I had this side of a perfect Mother's Day yesterday. Woke up at my own pace, had lunch and dinner with loved ones, and took the back street ways to get to East L.A. to visit my mom and grandmother at the Calvary Cemetery.Cool gentle winds, and clouds drifting by made for perfect weather.
A stop at Boutique and Gallery Chim Maya allowed me a chance to oooh and aaah at beautiful jewelry and art.
The big soothing surprise was the buddha that is in their back garden. I love the way the blossoms surround the figure.
It reminded me to appreciate the sometimes subtle intersection of nature and art. I also reminded me to breath deep and take a moment to reflect.
