Shoshone Falls, the Niagara of the West

Not being a fan of Evel Kneivel, I didn't know of his jump in 1974, or how close the his jump was to the Shoshone Falls. But he survived the unsuccessful attempt and they survived the notoriety he brought to the area.

The rains of this spring have caused a tremendous surge in the volume going over the falls. There was a constant roar that was only matched by the a fine mist that made the falls magical.
