Districting, Districting, last call for input on Districting Map

The PUSD Board and local governments of Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre established Districting Task Force that was selected and charged with the task of amending the Charter language. It also was given the responsibility to draw new sub-regional districts with the purpose of electing future School Board Members.

After months of meetings and community input, the Task Force has developed a consensus map based on input that was received from the various public forums. This map reflects the many interests from the entire PUSD community.

The Task Force adopted one consensus map on Saturday, March 3, 2012 and is encouraging you to participate in its completion. The Task Force will finalize its work on March 20, 2012 prior to the Task Force formally presenting the consensus map to the PUSD Board on March 27, 2012.

The following listings are additional meetings where the community can participate.

  1. Shall I tell you honestly why I have not participated? Why I choose not to participate in these community input things the city asks us to do? Maybe I'll tell you privately sometime.

  2. Please do. Offline is fine. The post was meant more as a "the library will be closing in 15 minutes, please take all books to the check out counter". So far the Task Force has presented and taken input at about 30 meetings. The groups have ranged from school groups, to community groups, civic groups, and governmental groups. I just want to make sure the invitation stays open as long as possible.
