Yes, I've not written lately.

It is a foul rumor that I went to New Mexico only for sopaipillas.  Okay, granted that eating a sopaipilla covered with New Mexican honey was the first thing I wanted to do when I arrived in Albuquerque, it was not the only reason for going to NM.
By the way I had to search for an image of a sopaipilla because the time from table to tummy was lightening fast.  These bits of heaven were from Tomasita's in Santa Fe.  Had a chance to see them being made.  Thanks, Tomasita's and thanks, Ralph.

I went because there is something about New Mexico that cause me to feel like I'm home.
In places like the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Old Town Santa Fe or

in places like this bend of the Rio Chama near Abiquiu.

It was made that much more fun by traveling with James, and our buddies Kathy and Ralph.
I didn't take my computer with me intentionally.  But now I'm back home so I'll write more about the trip.

  1. I haven't been through New Mexico since 1988. But I do remember I loved it.
