Some things seem obvious. That doesn't mean that they are less because of their being obvious.I took this picture in La Crescenta on Saturday. James and I were on our way to attend a memorial service for a child who was stillborn. En route we heard of they shootings in Tucson, AZ.
The vastness of the grey in the sky, the span of the Verdugos, and the cross on the church seemed to be something that I needed to capture that morning.
It was a morning that was filled with sadness, with memory of children lost, and of the seemingly capricious flow of life and death.
Sad occasions. But, appropriate and beautiful photo. It's nice when the eye and the camera cooperate.
