In Alhambra

These good fellows could have been gathered for myriad reasons. Could be a high school reunion - lots of gray hair and glasses. Could have been a birthday party. Could be, but look at all those caps. The gathering was for a booksigning of "Mexican American Baseball in Los Angeles". The bulk of those who attended were somehow related to those who had played: most those present were former players or had family members who were players on the Carmelita Chorizero team. Co-author Dr. Richard Santillan is making a point to those who've gathered.
There was a bit of comida, a lot of book signing, and some treasures like this stat board.
And so much pride. Yes, that is Willie Alvarez, Mr. 508 himself!
