A Thousand Cranes

"The Cherry Blossom Festival is hosting the American Red Cross at the Festival on 4/2 and 4/3 - in addition the CBF will be collecting a $1 for every crane an attendee makes (or a volunteer makes for them) of which they sign. We're trying to get a big tree donated from a florist to string and hand the cranes from.

We've gotten other organizations who are doing the same that are interested in becoming part of a collaborative effort to raise funds and make the cranes at the festival.

We're outreaching the community and companies in the following ways.

Groups who would like to come in and help with the cranes as volunteers.

Companies who would like to be part of and join in this collaborative effort we need funds to help underwrite the rentals - any donation to Pasadena Arts Council/Cherry Blossom Festival SoCal, 686 S. Arroyo Parkway, #221, Pasadena, CA 91105 will help to underwrite canopy, chairs, tables, paper, supplies, etc. to help us create the Japan EQ Relief Center.

All collaboratives will be listed as part of the Relief Effort at Cherry Blossom Festival.

The American Red Cross will also be bringing their emergency vehicle for display.

Any questions contact Wendy at wowproductions2@earthlink.net or 626 682 8244"
