This week is full of birthdays

Well, I guess most week are...but this was full of birthdays of people and places that I feel connected to - one way or the other.

At 125 years we have the grand City of Pasadena. The actual date of incorporation is June 19th, but most of us know when we get older that it's the being remembered that matters most. And judging by the cake, designed and decorated by the students of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, it's equally important to share the icons and the symbols of a grand and sometimes glorious past. Hats off to all who worked so hard to make the day a good one!
The kiddoes dancing to Conjunto Hueyapan - of Oxnard - knew it was time to dance and move and enjoy the festivities.
On Sunday we were at the Los Angeles Police Academy.
And there too, was a space that showcased icons and symbols of a much shorter span.
Happy birthday Mountain.
May you have many more days and experiences that fill you with absolute glee.
And may we adults be around to bask in and be reminded of
the joy and hope of youth that you share so freely.
