Lots of Green in the Crown City

It's exciting to see more and more folks getting rid of lawns and designing with plants that are native, and/or need precious little water once they're established.
These homes in District Two show how a little creativity, a feel for architecture and geometry, as well as a bit of a green thumb can make for a landscape that is full of texture, colorful variety and helps lower the water bill.
Go district 2.

  2. We just started a similar project on our southerly front lawn space. My wife, who has the green thumb, says the native plants take 2 years to get used to their new environment. I like these examples very much.
