Posada

Quite literally posada means shelter.

At this time of the year in many, many countries including most of Latin America, there are re-enactments of the end of the journey of Mary and Joseph before they found shelter in the stables in Bethlehem.  They were looking for posada.  Perhaps they found with each other along the way.

Leslie and Matthew seem to be taking shelter in each other's smiles before they board a plane to visit our Portland branch of the familia.

Don't know how the family of Mary or Joseph felt as they watched them begin their journey.  As for me, I can't help but hope and smile when I see this picture.  May they share many more days of posada with each other.
