Leia doesn't count.

Leia is our lovely dog. She is expressive, mostly gentle, and really bright.
She has been a part of our household for 12 years. She has been a love in easy and in tough times.
However, when the census comes later this week she won't be counted. On the other hand, all of our members in our neighborhoods and our cities will count.
Truth be told I chose this picture because I wanted to share this cool image of Leia.
But more importantly I wanted to share how important the census is for all of us. Seniors, children, native, undocumented, single, married, any orientation, any religion, all abilities... No matter the descriptor folks might use for themselves they should be counted in our census.

  2. Roberta, the comments box on your Measure CC post isn't working. But I'm with you on that one, too.
