Earl's gifts

On the food network a dish that is spicy is typically accompanied by a soothing more neutral flavor or dish. It's the balance that makes the meal interesting and comfortably tasty.

This week has been intense, productive and full of meetings. It's a pleasure to remember the cool air and open spaces of Chimayó. And the gifts from Earl's huerta. His orchard produced the chiles that I'm holding and that I'll be using when I cook winter foods this year.
